Scarlet Mood for Erlin and Edwin's Sangjit

For Erlin and Edwin's Sangjit event in Makassar, we went with something unconventional. Mixing deep and rich colours like Maroons and Emeralds with Black for a moody ambience. To top it all off, gold accents were added in the form of Chinoiserie patterns as a nod to tradition.

Starting with their calligraphy keepsake made by @handwrittenbylee , featuring maroon as the dominant color, the suite was finished with delicate hand painted lantern shaped place cards. Loving how this styled suite turned out!

Along with the calligraphy suite, we also style the details of the day like Erlin's personal items. No Chinese engagement would be complete without the extravagant accessories, and this was no exception. We love how these dainty accessories make us feel like a Chinese bride for the day!

These ones featured stunning hair clips and gemstone drop earrings by @epajewel , read on to see how they complimented the Bride's attire!

For the Hampers Box, we went with suede material for that luxurious feel. And of course, we chose maroon as the main colour. This time a lighter shade to make sure the embroidery details on the box stood out.

On to the Bride's Beauty Shoot, Erlin stunned in this classic yet dramatic robe. The sleeves definitely added that extra flair while still being light and airy. We love how regal she looked!

Erlin then changed into her main attire, an emerald layered with gold illustrations in a mermaid cut Cheongsam from @_cinor_. With the additional of the high slit, she got to show off her beautiful heels from @cavaprive.

And now, for the decoration! Like we said before, they went with unconventional deep colours. The typical traditional Sangjit ceremony usually features bright colours, red in particular. But, a deeper version of red--maroon to be exact--was chosen for the florals to create a contrast.

The decor panel was made from several overlapping panels, creating a sense of layering and depth. The black coloured panels were all covered in illustrations of Chinese elements in gold, creating a moody and luxurious ambience. To add to that the use of lighting also accented the overall elegant atmosphere we wanted to achieve.

Thank you Erlin and Edwin for trusting us to be a part of your Engagement! Wishing you both a new and exciting next chapter in your lives🤍
