I grew up with Harry Potter, immersing myself in every word on the books, not really moving on from my childhood crush. Imagine my surprise and excitement when we got this unique couple! They wanted a mix of pop cultures infused to their wedding.. Wondering which pop culture it was? Harry Potter & Star Wars, two of the biggest names that helped shaped today's movie cultures!
Fun story about our couple, the bride was a huge fan of the Harry Potter universe, while the groom absolutely loved Star Wars, hence why those two themes were chosen. Our colour palette was inspired by the Harry Potter universe, while slight personalised touches were made in Star Wars.

Of course the best place to showcase small details were inside the calligraphy invitation! This magical piece was made by @handwrittenbylee, and features the Harry Potter elements that our bride loved.
Head over heels with how this calligraphy suite turned out! Got to say my inner Potterhead was screaming when I saw this brought to life.
For their colour palette, we chose to play with with lots of bright maroons and oranges, representative of the Gryfinddor House in the Harry Potter universe.
Psst, for you Potterheads out there, can you see a resemblance to the Marauder's Map? This specially customised map was made to represent our couple's long distance relationship, all the way from Canada to Indonesia, a beautiful detail incorporated into their wedding stationery.
If you wonder why we have so many Harry Potter props for this styling session, apparently our bride collects many HP props, perfect for styling. Imagine opening a bag full of HP memorabilia to style, absolute highlight of our day then!

Next up, their morning preparation before the first meeting!
For this Star Wars lover, we wanted their personal items representing the theme, so this Darth Vader cufflinks were worn by our groom.
Matching Star Wars socks for all the groomsmen! Such a personalised and unique touch to the groomsmen attire.. Can you name all the characters in their socks?
Meanwhile, here’s Leona in the morning robe. Unique neckline and lace embroidery all over the top part, made it beautiful from afar.. This robe looked so light and flowy, ethereal and fit for our bride!
The wedding dress reveal...
Leona in her wedding dress, this stunner by @tanzilia.id! This A line dress features a nude lining with sequinned waves all around the dress, and a fully beaded tube top. To finish, see the unique balloon puff sleeves that were made so that our bride could have two looks to the dress!

Beautiful bouquet by Rosy Posy, perfect accessory for our bride to walk down the aisle with!
Finally at their wedding venue, Taman Kajoe. A private residence with indoor and outdoor areas, perfect for those who want a garden wedding in the middle of Jakarta.
Moving on to their decoration, since their event was quite an intimate one, we chose to utilise the same backdrop for blessing and reception ceremony.
We wanted double arches to create the illusion of full florals, and we wanted to make the arch more special by playing with the floral colour. On one side, there were dominant hues of reds and maroons, and the other dominant of yellows and oranges. Thank you @levinedecor for making it come to life.
Against the all green grasses of the venue, the colours from the arch stood out and definitely were the focus of the decor!
Spot the custom tree stumps that were specifically cut for M&L’s wedding! Definitely made a difference in the ambience.
On the table, lies a simple but beautiful bridal table setup for our couple, with a single Cymbidium flower paired with calligraphy place card.
For reception, all wooden furniture, including wooden cross back chairs were used to accentuate the rustic vibes of the decor.
We had customised burgundy tablecloths for all the guests, setting the mood for a celebration not to be forgotten. Use of multiple candles and vintage brown bottles were props to further accentuate the entire decor mood.
No wedding would be complete without a cake, right? This stunner was by @ec_cakery.
Remember how our bride loved Harry Potter, the cake was no exception.. Spot the glistening golden snitch hovering above the cake!
The cake was then adorned with beautiful blooms matching the colour palette.
Of course not only the bride’s love needs to shine, but the groom as well! This Star Wars spaceship was carved into the cake, symbolising our couple’s love for this two universes, and the union of two people.
