Winson and Agustin's wedding marks the first time we ever styled a wedding at Hutan KM5. We were so excited to be able to create a concept that would elevate such a beautiful and lush forest that has plenty of greens!
To ensure the decor pops out against the forest, for the colour palette we combined plenty of whites, pops oranges and pinks, mixed with greens to offset it all. We started off the morning styling shoot with the handmade calligraphy set featuring those shades from @handwrittenbylee. We really wanted the colours to shine, hence the design was mainly watercolour mixtures, combined with an illustration of the Holy Matrimony decoration.
The wedding invitation suite and stationery by @houseofpapeterie also went in line with the colour palette, featuring pinks and oranges that made the whole set shine vibrantly.
As for the souvenirs, we wanted it to be more neutral and have an earthy feel, considering the venue takes place in a forest. The wrap itself is a furoshiki wrap giving it a light and airy feel!
Other styling details include the bride’s shoes by Loeffler Randall and Manolo Blahnik, both as comfortable as they are aesthetic, making them perfect for outdoor weddings.
Initially the bride wanted to have a short dress for her reception attire. However in the end, a more formal look was decided, so we opted for floor-length dress and had a short length morning robe instead. The upper bodice was pleated, with plenty of crisscross detail on the neck and midriff area, allowing for some skin to show, but still looking elegantly fun.
The most dramatic part, the long ruffled tail of the robe, made from hundred of layers of fluffy tulle! This robe by @tiffanyliemstudio was truly unconventional and playful. We love how the tulle ruffles beautifully followed the bride's every move, while she roamed around the halls for her morning photo session!
So in love with this elegant chic wedding dress! As the blessing location was located on site the forest venue, we wanted something that enables ease of movement while still staying in line with the theme. The gorgeous V neck with long cut sleeves stole all the attention. Detailed bohemian fabric was chosen as the base of the dress, providing delicate and stunning patterns.
Remembering ease of movement, a slit was also made in the middle of the dress so our bride could navigate freely through the greeneries! Delicate waist belt was also added to cinch the waist and made the overall look elegant and stunning. Another beautiful creation by @tiffanyliemstudio ! We also took full advantage of the natural surrounding forest venue to do more beauty shoot sessions.
Onto the wedding decoration! Starting with the welcome area, which featured Welcome Sign that mimics the shapes of their invitation and stationery suites. Love how the vibrant colours popped against the earthy setting!
Considering the venue itself has its own charm, being full of greeneries and trees that gave it a cool breezy vibe--we chose to style the Holy Matrimony near a giant tree, making the tree as part of the decor itself. With @bloomsville.id team’s magic hands, this stunning decoration was born! Large asymmetrical florals were arranged across the large tree trunk, with a wooden table and floral arrangements atop to finish.
Not only was the trunk decorated, we also wanted to hang draping flowers on the small branches, transforming it into the dreamy wedding setup. Can you spot the hanging white wisteria?
For a truly grand entrance, large white structures with lush florals in every corner welcomed them as our couple made their way down the aisle!
Bringing us back to nature and earthy feel, we chose wooden cross back chairs for a rustic look.
After the Holy Matrimony, the decorated tree backdrop were then re-utilised as the backdrop for their Tea Pai ceremony with the addition of a golden Xuang Xie logo. Creating a whimsical and effortless look.
The reception was held just a few steps away from the Holy Matrimony site. Turns out the venue was huuuuge! Could definitely fit a few hundred guests for the perfect outdoor forest vibe. A clear tent was installed to keep the cool breeze without the direct glare of sunlight, while the decor set an entire different tone against the greenery!
Emphasising another grand entrance for our couple, we decorated the aisle into a lush garden to welcome the them! Clusters of flowers were shaped into rounded shapes and acted as the perfect garden-aisle.
Also greeting the couple were the floral halos installed in the middle of the aisle walkway, completing the perfect aisle setup!
This wedding reception was an intimate one, with 50 guests in attendance. Hence, long tables were chosen to accommodate all of the guests. The burst of floral colours had us selecting a neutral tablecloth for the tables, and again completed the look with wooden cross back chairs. Lastly, low floral arrangements were placed to fill up the pretty tables.
We had a beautifully intended messy cake from @sweetsalt_id ! The body of the cake were shaped in organic wild ruffles, which created dimension in each layer. For the extra burst of colour, we wanted a cluster of pink delicate florals strewn across the cake, creating this stunning combination in textures and colours!
Above the bridal table, hung another long section of draping florals to frame the bridal table. The circular floral mounds covered the front side of the bridal table, creating this lush and full decor. Fresh florals of all textures and colours filled the tables, while multiple tapered candles were used to complement the centrepiece.
For the finishing touch, tableware from @se.meja along with menu and place cards stationery from @houseofpapeterie completed the table setting.
Being as playful as she was, our bride changed into different dress for the lunch reception! This deserves extra attention because the dress was actually a very pale sage green, something you don’t see brides wearing very often!
A satin-like material was used to create this draped dress, and one shoulder detail was featured to create a fun look for this outdoor vibe. A high thigh slit was incorporated to make sure that our bride could still move freely in this dress as she did in her Holy Matrimony one. Topping off the whole look were delicate floral hair accessories from @hummingbirdroad and of course, our groom in a shade of dark green suit by @wonghangtailor.
Congratulations to Winson & Agustin! Thank you for letting us be a big part of your special day🤍
