Line & Wires for Rey & Jessica's Wedding

Updated: Oct 19, 2022

Our bride this time was a fan of everything minimalist and loved the use of structures and blank space. If you recall, their Sangjit ceremony (featured in an earlier post) also held true to the couple's preferences.

With countless of inspiration out there, Jessica wanted a wedding that would stand the test of time, so we played with dominantly white, mixed hints of pastels and a bright color for that fun twist.

Enough talk, lets get on with the beautiful pictures of the day!

The main invitation was minimalist but luxurious. Lux feels of letterpress finishes, gold foiling, and blind embosses were heavily prevalent in the invitation suite by Papeworks. Wanting to keep the overall mood clean, white was chosen as the main color, with hints of pastel green and lilac strewn across.

Calligraphy keepsake by Claudia Rachel also maintained that same mood, with the hints of color shown in the ribbon color selections.

As our bride got ready to be fetched by her groom, Venema took the opportunity to capture in some beautiful beauty shots.

Jessica's morning dress by Hian Tjen showed off a halter neck dress with minimalist finishes, relying on only the fabric's weight and the designer's draping methods this silhouette. We for one, absolutely loved this sort of dress!

Their Holy Matrimony was held in the foyer of Pullman Bandung, with the building's iconic pillars and black framed windows.

Being the classic bride she was, Jessica opted to go for 2 ever lasting colors, greens and whites for the ceremony. The aisle was lined with rows of fluffy florals with floating Phalaenopsis orchids to greet whomever walked down.

The backdrop and surrounding florals were designed just so that floral arrangements shone, with asymmetric arrangements and all acrylic furniture settings to achieve that all clean look.

Usage of the venue's existing white tiffany chairs contributed to the aesthetic of the overall decoration.

After the ceremony, the new Mr & Mrs toured the hotel for photo sessions with Venema.

The iconic black stairway in Pullman Bandung is always a head turner, where our couple got multiple shots here!

Transitioning from day to night, Jessica chose to expose the more feminine side of herself by going with a fully laced dress in a mermaid cutting from Hian Tjen.

Moving on to reception, the welcome foyer had largely white florals, where use of a multiple white lined seating chart was placed as a functional point for guests

As guests entered the ballroom, they're greeted with a large line and wire dance floor gazebo which matched the venue's already existing chandeliers.

Wanting the reception to have a fun twist, we introduced shades of pastel lilac and orange into the color palette, transforming the white aesthetic done during Holy Matrimony.

The use of white wire lines were the main structure of the stage, whereas everything else was kept empty for a play on shadows and blank space

Orange and lilac florals peeked out from the otherwise white and green garden that filled the bridal table.

Low and high guest centerpieces filled each guest table, finished with a mirror base. Functional table number from House of Papeterie also finished each table.

Our favourite moment when our beautiful couple entered the venue, against the all black backdrop, everything looked so neatly in place.

Congratulations and thank you Rey & Jessica for giving us the creativity to explore and style both your events. We hope you both enjoy and love marriage life!
