Italian Touches for Nicholas & Natasha's Wedding

Updated: Nov 20, 2021

So many of us miss travelling overseas during this pandemic, and our couple this time definitely miss it as well! Sprouting from their dream honeymoon destination, we decided to style their wedding with touches of Italy, filled with plenty of outdoor elements.

A little backstory about Nicholas & Natasha, their wedding was originally going to be held in Bali, the outdoor vibe that both of them love. However due to the pandemic, the venue changed to an outdoor garden in Jakarta, located inside the Dharmawangsa Hotel. We absolutely loved this little hidden gem, perfect for outdoor intimate weddings like this!

Without further ado, see how we styled this lovely wedding for Nicholas and Natasha.

Starting from the colour palette, we played with lots of greenery paired with fuchsia pinks and yellows. This beautiful colour combination was used for all their aesthetic elements, including this bespoke calligraphy set from Handwritten by Lee.

We wanted to incorporate lemons into the decor elements, hence their place cards shaped like a lemon with leaves. Such a cute detail into their calligraphy invitation set.

Some more details of our morning styling session, beautiful groom and family boutonniere in bright pink colours by Levine.

Special shoutout to House of Papeterie as well for designing matching wedding stationeries for N&N's wedding. Featured here is their customised guest book and souvenir card made specially for their big day.

Moving on to the morning preparation, Natasha got ready in her bridal robe from Hepburn made from heavy chiffon silk, creating the illusion of a draped dress, perfect for bridal mornings like this one.

Showcasing her morning dress, she wore a stunning dress from Truly Enamoured. For the Holy Matrimony, Tiffany Liem Studios kindly provided a translucent top with sleeves to cover up the chest area to achieve a more conservative look.

Love the flower embroidery detail in the top and sleeves, mimicking the original embellishments on the dress.

A close up look into her headpiece, a modern and minimalist silver flower headpiece from Phoebe JKT, beautifully adorning her classic up do.

Natasha and her bridal squad getting ready! Her bridesmaids were wearing mustard off shoulder dresses from Se.Ta.Ra and each were carrying bright posies from Levine. One of our favourite bridesmaid bouquets, with the combination of roses, carnations and anthuriums!

Always classic Manolos to accompany our bride down the aisle.

Some impromptu photo sessions around the hotel before the ceremony!

After their Holy Matrimony, our couple headed back here for Teapai session. Here Natasha changed to another dress for the traditional Chinese ceremony.

Moving on to the highly awaited decoration, starting with the welcome signage!

We wanted light wooden accents, so most of the decor elements were painted in this gorgeous shade of light wood. The welcome sign was decorated with draping greeneries along with bright florals from the palette.

Beautiful venue surrounded by lush greeneries, made for a wonderful setting for N&N's welcome corner.

Upon entry, guests were greeted by this greenery dominated arch, decorated with bright pops of fuchsia orchids.. To further accentuate greenery, the aisle was covered in green bushes, mimicking the feeling of taking a stroll in an Italian garden.

Walk further, and you'll see this fountain in the middle of the arch, also another element placed to mimic Italian gardens. We're so in love with the light coloured water fountain against the all greenery setting, truly a beautiful contrast without looking too much.

At the very end of the aisle, lies the bridal table and the pavilion surrounding it. This pavilion was inspired by Italian canopies, and filled with an all greenery wall behind.

Closer to the bridal table, you'll find beautiful draping floral arrangements. One thing that definitely caught our eye, the bright fuchsia roses and the blue orchids and anthuriums. Such a wonderful colour combination that surely light up the venue.

On the bridal table, you'll find matching tableware in shades of gold and pinks, all aesthetically placed to welcome the family. We loved the gold rimmed plates, with the blush pink napkins. To accentuate the outdoor feel, we choose rattan placemats to match the rattan chairs on the bridal table.

Spot the lemons as guest names, love the cute printed leaves from House of Papeterie that added an elevated accent to the place cards.

All guests were seated in long tables, making for a more intimate feel and decoration. The tablecloths were a light yellow to balance out the bright hues of the flower arrangements, and we chose for the centrepieces to be all tall vases to create more dimension.

Again to enhance the garden vibes, we selected wooden cross back chairs for all guests, so that they could get the ambiance of an Italian garden wedding.

Our couple loved the intimate and warm feel of draping fairy lights, hence the concept to hang tiny thousands of fairy lights on the tent. When evening came, the lights shone to resemble a starry night.

Shoutout to Silverdust Decor for executing all decoration concept beautifully!

Not only did the bridal table have the special place cards, all guests invited did too! Paired on top of a translucent glass plate, the lemons added more detail to each guest table.

For her evening look, another stunning dress was brought to life. This beautiful piece by Berta from Truly Enamoured stole the show!

This dress features a long plunge back, with dramatic white pearls strewn across the shoulders and the back of the dress.

This mermaid cut dress complimented our bride's figure beautifully as she made her grand entrance to the reception party.

Last but not the least, we had the beautiful cake from EC Cakery. Our bride wanted an intimate cake, hence opting for this two tiered beauty. Buttercream frosting covered the cake entirely, with the frosting being different colours and showcase beautiful blooming floral patterns.

Finally, a huge congratulations to you guys Nicholas & Natasha for tying the knot! Pandemic wedding planning has never been an easy thing but you guys made yours a breeze. Cheers to a lifetime of love, happiness, and happily ever afters.
