Gio and Natasha's Forest Rustic Wedding

Updated: Feb 9, 2022

Rustic is one wedding concept that has lasted for a long time, and we think it will continue to last as long as it is updated with the current trends or mixed with the elegance of modernism. With that in mind, we created the perfect wedding concept for Gio and Natasha’s wedding.

In the morning, we started by finding the perfect accessories to match the invitation flatlay. Wooden ornaments were chosen to hint at the rustic element of the decoration. We also feel they work really well with the rough handmade paper of the keepsake stationery, courtesy of Claudia Rachel.

As the wedding took place in the midst of an ongoing pandemic and guests were required to take home their dinners, House of Papeterie came up with the idea of creating dinner vouchers in the form of an exchange coupon for a fun guest experience. Along with it, they also designed the Holy Matrimony procession book. It was kept minimalistic to give a modern twist to the whole rustic theme.

From the beginning of the wedding planning, Natasha always told us she wanted to look classy and elegant on her wedding day. Together with ENST Couture we came up with this long sleeve brocade dress, which is a perfect fit not only for her personality, but with the decoration theme as well! Paired with the strappy white ribbon shoes from Lacies Shoes, the bride’s morning look appeared so graceful.

Not to forget her flowy morning robe by Ernesto Abram making her morning preparation so fun - giving her freedom to move around, and thank you Calia Photo for capturing every single moment beautifully!

The Holy Matrimony was held in Ayana Jimbaran, one of the most beautiful wedding venues for intimate ceremonies. Along with Kala Weddings, we managed to enhance the enchanting venue with the theme of Wooden Garden considering Gio and Natasha’s love for a rustic ambiance.

Our decoration story starts from this dominant set that will be used for both Holy Matrimony and Reception (with certain transformations, of course). Greeneries are mainly used here and then topped off with colourful flowers to complete the rustic arrangements. Wood-like materials were used in all of the furnitures and structures to make sure each of the elements are consistent with one another.

We particularly love the hanging Cross in the altar, making the set up looks more sacred, as if they tied the knot at an open air church!

Transitioning to the celebration, let’s first take a glimpse at the welcome area that consists of a photo gallery. We chose to display the couple's photos on polaroids to compliment the rustic decoration.

The reception was held as a lounge party with mingling session and a live music performance, and to accommodate that vibe, the stage was transformed.

With the addition of a neon sign and twinkling fairy lights, the ambience of the venue turned into something warm and magical for the couple and their guests.

To top it all off, this beautiful rustic cake made by Ame Cakery successfully completed the whole stage set for the night.

Holding a celebration during pandemic period forces us to be more creative in finding alternatives after alternatives, it was certainly challenging, but we are glad we eventually settled for the best one.

Thank you Gio and Natasha for trusting us to be part of your big day! May your marriage be full of joy and blessings.
